Fire Protection

Fire extinguishers are critical to both short and long term fire prevention and are usually the first line of defense when it comes to removing a fire from further obstruction and damage. There are typically five types of fires, including ordinary combustibles (class A), flammable liquids and gases (Class B), live electrical equipment (Class C), combustible metals or metal alloys (Class D) and fires in cooking appliances involving combustible cooking media (Class K). After it is determined which potential hazard could occur around your working or living environment, you need to select the proper fire extinguisher capable of eliminating the fire hazard. There are seven different classifications of fire extinguishers which specifically address and are best suited for each type of fire hazard.
